Education and Research

Schools, universities and research institutions operate in dynamic, fast paced environments that must respond to every aspect of the regions and communities they serve.

In planning and constructing their facilities, educators and researchers are challenged by a myriad of issues; evolving financing strategies, multiple stakeholders, legislative requirements, wireless technology, life cycle issues, and sustainable design criteria. Combined with changing student demographics and fierce competition Owner’s are stretched to complete their building programs in the face of reduced funding and soaring construction costs.

PC/M’s Principals and staff bring a breadth of firm and individual experience spanning 25 years in providing project controls/cost management of education and research institutions. This depth of expertise has given us a keen understanding of the complex, collaborative and flexible environments that support learning and scientific workplaces.

We embrace this integrated approach in working with Owners and project teams to identify innovative solutions and appropriate cost savings designed to enhance a building’s quality while honoring the Client’s fiscal mandates. The earlier PC/M participates in the master planning and design process, the greater comfort, trust and value we provide.

Our firm and staff’s cumulative individual experience includes classrooms, laboratories, offices, auditoriums, meeting and function rooms, central energy plants.
